DPSV Field Trip to Vancouver Island

Several members have expressed an interest in organizing a tour of Valley Succulents, which will include a scheduled stop at Bert's Cactus Paradise in Nanaimo along the way.

To facilitate group transportation for this event, the organization will rent a 10- or 15-passenger van. Alternatively, members who prefer to drive their personal vehicles may qualify for financial assistance. The club will help subsidize the ferry costs, provided that the vehicle transports a minimum of three members.

This excursion is scheduled for Saturday, August 8th, as Bert is unavailable on subsequent weekends. For those who have not yet visited, this is highly recommended; it is a unique venue featuring an exceptional variety of cacti species grown outdoors year-round.
